Available for opportunities MS HCI @ Indiana University
Designing experiences that move people.
I'm Aiden Eichenour — a UX and Product Designer with a front-end development background. I started in web development, discovered HCI, and never looked back. I advocate for users while building things that actually work.

View ProjectAbout Me
Web developer
first. UX designer
at heart.
I'm Aiden Eichenour — I started in web development and design during my undergraduate studies at Indiana University Indianapolis. By my senior year I realized I didn't just want to build things — I wanted to understand why people use them the way they do. That curiosity led me to pursue my MS in Human-Computer Interaction.
What drives me is the gap between a user's intention and their experience. I grew up naturally helping people troubleshoot technology, and HCI gave me the vocabulary and framework to do that at scale.
"I don't just want to build things — I want to understand why people use them the way they do."
Outside of design work I'm an avid bowler — chasing a perfect 300 having hit 290 once — and I play golf when I can. I follow the NFL closely (AFC side), enjoy gaming, and spend a lot of time with my boxer, Arya. Family is a major motivation behind everything I do professionally.
Capabilities
How I Work
My design
process.
Every project is different — but the way I approach problems stays consistent. Research first, assumptions last.
Discover
I start with people — not assumptions. User interviews, competitive audits, and heuristic reviews help me understand the real problem before touching a single wireframe.
Define
Synthesizing messy research into a clear opportunity. Affinity mapping, personas, and journey maps turn scattered insights into a problem statement everyone can anchor to.
Design
From rough sketches to interactive prototypes — I move fast, iterate often, and keep the user in the room even when they're not physically present. Low-fi first, visual polish earns its place.
Deliver
Usability testing, design handoff, and implementation support. The job isn't done when the file is done — I stay involved until the right experience actually ships.
